Hi Christine! I'm growling at your doctor for not taking the time to look at your pain diary. I wouldn't do it again either. You know yourself, you know your triggers(or lack there of) and he should simply listen to you.
There is a lot of talk in the news lately about rebound headaches. I hope that this treatment helps you. I would be a little scared as well, but as long as it isn't an invasive or painful treatment, it is worth a shot.
I hope the headaches magically disappear too! For years I have held on to the idea that the headache will vanish in a moment, as quickly as it appeared.
Good luck and keep me posted!

I just had to do a pain diary and used a private twitter account (as recommended by a friend of mine). I was so proud, I actually managed to keep up with it for a month (he wanted two, but just like you, I HATE focusing on my pain). I went to give it to my doc yesterday and he gave it back to me saying that I didn't follow his form and it was 'inefficient' for him to locate patterns if he has to read all this stuff. Uhm... hello???? I had to LIVE IT, what's his problem? So, I'm pissed and though he has asked me to repeat this process, I am not going to. I know that I do not have any 'triggers', I've had this problem for over half my life (17 years to be exact). Anyway, doc thinks I might have rebound headaches from taking ibuprofen everyday since they began so I'm going to be hospitalized for 1-5 days for DEH protocol. I sure hope he's right, and the headaches magically disappear. He promises that the process is relatively mild and does not have much in the way of withdrawl symptoms, we shall see. I'm a bit scared, but willing to try anything to get rid of this pain! I'll keep you posted.
